As of July 2022, there were clear signs that our local Hernando County real estate market is being impacted by rising mortgage interest rates, increasing home inventory levels and other economic factors. As of the writing of this BLOG for JULY 2022, 553 Homes are fully active and available “For Sale” within our Hernando County Multiple List Service (MLS) compared to the JULY 2021 BLOG count of 259 Homes. This significant increase of 114% more homes on the market means BUYERS have more choices from which to choose. For SELLERS, even though fewer homes sold in July 2022 then the same time last year, JULY 2022 SELLERS are continuing to experience price gains.
