2022 YEAR-END UPDATE – For January thru December of 2022, BUYERS experienced an ever-improving supply of housing inventory, giving them more choices from which to choose. On the flip side, as more housing inventory became available, SELLERS were finding their homes typically spending more time on the market. Additionally, as the number of available homes “FOR SALE” increased, there was a notable drop in “bidding wars” which were previously very common in our market.
Surprisingly, even with the widely forecasted market shift or re-balancing, Hernando County’s YEARLY 2022 “Average Sale Price” of $329,428 reflected a +26% increase over the YEARLY 2021 “Average Sale Price” of $262,171.
